I cried when I first saw this video a few months ago. It is touching.

According to Essence, R. Kelly and Andrea (pictured below) had been married for 11 years and have three children - two girls, ages 9 and 7, and a 5-year-old boy.
My heart goes out to R. Kelly's wife and their children.

Pam, did you see the video of him singing to his daughter??? Is that what has you speechless??
What made me speechless was the fact that he has a family. They all need help. I hate it when I hear of married people acting stupid where their families are embarassed. I thought the man was single and childless.
No I did not watch it yet. I will probably do so tomorrow. Going to sleep:)
r kelly even slept with this man's child? mercy. he said, "if her relationship with r kelly was as extreme as the sex video, he (the father) wouldn't be here talking..."

I feel you on that, because R.kelly pissed on that girl, and bet if R.Kelly did that to Mr. Daniels daughter he have shovel up his you know what!LOL!
if she has allowed him to mess with their children as he did her and all the other little girls, she is going to need more than our hearts to help her.
it's a pattern that someone has to stop. hiding behind the lies of a reality they built.

i believe he really thinks he will get away with anything that he does--full of pride and pride kills. and he reaks of death.
i hope that his messes and mazes are prayed off his children or they will go through the generational curses that trapped him and his wife.

i never did like the way he carried himself - 'the sell'--it takes more than what he offered to get my attention and interest--esp. with music.
and i never did like his music.
a long while ago i prayed for his children-not the adults--they know exactly what they are doing.

I definitely feel sorry for his children but I don't relly feel sorry for his wife because she is a grown woman and is living in a state of denial. In the Essence article, she insisted on championing her husband as an innocent man who is being persecuted by the courts. I understand being blind in the face of loving someone, but come on. There are always signs. When are we gonna stop excusing the messed up behaviorof our men?

I have seen this behavior so many times!
One sista in church - when asked about her husband's blatant homosexuality - responded, "well everyone has to deal with their spouse's issues when you choose to be married..."
I nearly fainted.
But we make our own beds to lie in...the bed does not make us.

I just listened to the video and I'm glad his publicist came out and talked about the situation. If nothing else is to be taken away from the situation, something is to be said about a good, stable family structure that looks after their children. Granted she was of legal age, but its good to see she have loving parents that had her interest at heart and weren't so star struck that they'd let any and everything go on. Since she eventually came to her senses, it shows she was raised right, too.
